After organising the European project TRACES (Transcultural Research Artist Curator Exchange Series) in Mons at the end of March, Transcultures is now presenting in April MADE at Mons (Mobility for Digital Arts in Europe), from the 18 to the 20 of April, a project also supported by the European Commission concerning the program Culture 2007-2013 and the Ministry of Culture of the French speaking Community of Belgium. The main topic which will be questionned and promoted during this day of debates and presentations by Transcultures and its European partners (CDA Enghien, boDig, body>data>space) is about the digital mobility/identity for the media arts in Europe.
More than ever, it's this culture of the exchange in the digital era that Transcultures and its
partners ardently defend against all the globalisms and conformisms. We invite you to participate to the 19th of April workshop/meeting which will be divided in two phases:
From 10.00 am to 06.00 pm in the auditorium of the BAM (Fine Arts Museum of Mons): conferences, interventions, debates with the partners : CDA Enghien-les-Bains (France), body-data-space (Londres, Grande-Bretagne), BoDig (Istanbul, Turquie), Transcultures (Mons, Belgique),Digital Performances and Cultures (France) and other participants (Mons2015, European Capital of Culture, lemanège.mons, Le Fresnoy, iMAL, LAb[au], Valérie Cordy, Béatrice de Fays) and exchanges with the audience.
From 08.30 pm at the Royal Theatre of Mons: video screening of Pascale Barret' Sleepwind's levitation, and a video selection from the Fresnoy (Carlos Franklin/Colombia and Roque Rivas/Chili ' Mutations of matter, Clorinde Durand/France' Naufrage and solo online performance from Valérie Cordy, 'Nomadic Asteroïd' + presentation of the MADE open call winner and euro drink at the bar of the Royal Theatre.
