the essay about 'Sonic space, the shape of sound' intends to deepen the understanding of the semantic transformations operated by information processing technologies in the general cultural paradigm. Related to synesthesia the article presents the possibilities of data visualization offered by the digital medium in the domain of sonic, visual and spatial shapes as well as the multiple forms of mapping one medium into another.
